mmm...sorry ladies, not the best topic for early morning...
I have noticed the last few days once my LO wakes up she has bad breath. I must say, I am quite shocked because I am used to the sweet smells of baby breath...
She only has 2 bottom teeth. We don't brush that regularly, maybe once in 2 days, is that why she has bad breath or could it be sign of something like thrush?

Hi

It isn't normal. Often if we get a cold we tend to have breath that smells a bit off.

Consider taking lo to the dentist. I need to take Dylan too.

My lo gets bad breathe at times when I have give her milk that is a bit too hot or I've warmed the food a little bit to much for her without noticing. Then the following morning her breathe will be a bit stinky.

My son had something stuck up his nose a few years ago, he must have been about 2 1/2 - I did not know there was something up his nose.

But the result is that he smelt like a dead rat, and I just could not figure out where the problem was - he brushed, he washed, he rewashed, but this smell permuated all over him.

I am not sure why I ended up at the ENT (probably because I was practically living there at the time) but I walked in, doctor looked up Connor's nose - and said "there is something up his nose.."

They managed to pull it out - it looked a bit like a smartie, with about a ton of snot on it, the smell when it came out was enough to make you run screaming ... but as soon as it was out, the smell immediately went away.

Just thought I would share the story of the missing smartie ....

oh my, wow, what a story. Reluctant mom, you never fail to make my day, thanks!!!

No, I never give her warm milk.

Maybe I should have mentioned, I have noticed it 4 times, so, it's not a constant thing.

But I will watch her carefully, since I understand bad breath at this age is not normal?

thanks ladies.
